Impossible Landscapes
Impossible Landscapes
This year marked our third consecutive invitation to partake in this splendid light festival, an honor we cherished as we embarked on a creative journey to produce a 3D projection mapping masterpiece. Our canvas was the illustrious façade of the Holy Spirit Church, an architectural gem nestled in the heart of Toruń, Poland.
As our artistic journey unfolded, we found ourselves blessed with the privilege of enchanting an astounding audience, comprising nearly 180,000 individuals, during the course of five mesmerizing nights that the festival spanned. The festival's brilliance served as a backdrop for our creative expression, infusing our work with the energy and enthusiasm of a diverse and captivated audience.
Our creative endeavor focused on the theme of the contrast between natural and urban landscapes. This theme came to life through our intricate manipulation of the architectural elements adorning the façade of the Holy Spirit Church. It became our mission to harmoniously intertwine the organic beauty of the natural world with the dynamic and ever-evolving urban landscape, blurring the lines that separated them.
In this transformative fusion, we sought to craft a narrative that would captivate the imagination and provoke introspection. The architectural elements of the church served as our palette, each intricacy and contour a brushstroke on the canvas of our projection. As the nights unfolded, our 3D mapping artwork danced across the surface of this wondrous building, unveiling a visual symphony that underscored the relationship between the serene beauty of nature and the vibrant pulse of urban life.
Our participation in this festival was not merely a showcase of our artistic prowess but a celebration of the beauty and unity that can be discovered when the realms of art, architecture, and community converge.
